VFX supervisor at Pixel Cartoon
I am a freelance senior digital compositor & visual FX artist and supervisor, with great experience as a 3D generalist and animated films director.
I was born in Trento (Italy) in 1965. After scientific studies (physics university) I began my job career as a software developer.
In 1990 I began my collaboration with “Bozzetto Produzione Film” in Milan (Italy). From 1993 to 1998 I collaborated with The Walt Disney Company Italia, drawing comic books for “Topolino”, Marvel Italia, with the covers of comic books such as “L’Uomo Ragno” (Spider-man, Italian version). In 1994 I opened my own production studio (Pixel Cartoon) in Trento.
From 2000 to 2005 I was animator and director of many tv commercials and film title sequences for television.
In 2008 I started working in London as compositor and VFX artist in many feature films, like Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours’, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II”, the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony short films, “Hyde Park on Hudson”, the TV series “Davinci’s demons” and the feature “Black Sea”. At the moment I am supervising the VFXs of an animated short film “Mila” and I just finished the VFX supervision of some Italian feature films like “Un giorno devi andare”, “Itaker”, “Anna & Yusef”.
The future is unknown, but with great passion, I know everyone can reach the stars.
Directing animation projects and supervising compositing jobs (in animation and visual effects) is what gives me the greatest professional satisfactions.
